A warm welcome!

Hello! I'm Michael Catchpool, author of ten picture books (so far) for children. My stories roam far and wide: from an  energetic superhero who knows just how to deal with any problem they face . . . (well, almost), to crafty frogs with clever ideas, a hippo who is great at doing very little, and aliens from outer space who spend far too much time kissing.

I'm also the author of the Maple Street series, which follows Jake, his family and his friends, on their adventures on Maple Street and beyond. If you're here to explore their world — or meet a few frogs, hippos, superheroes or aliens along the way — you're in exactly the right place.

(Oh, and just in case you were wondering — the picture you can see isn't me. That's Jake, with his family, from Maple Street. To be honest, I'm slightly older than Jake.)
